Cheap Car Insurance & Tacling Uninsured Drivers
Posted on January 10th, 2011
There is finally some good news on the horizon for those people who love their cheap car insurance and yet either stand to lose it or have suffered with it at the hands of uninsured drivers in the past. The government is finally taking a much tougher stance on it that will hopefully discourage those people that are tempted to put others at risk when they start the engine on their uninsured car. Not only has this already been announced but the measures are set to come into force in spring thanks to the action by the Department of Transport.
Although 400 uninsured drivers are caught by police everyday, many ultimately get away with it because they never get pulled over.

New Year’s Day Has Most Auto Thefts
Posted on January 3rd, 2011
According to the article “Vehicle Thieves Rarely Take a Holiday” found on CarInsurance.com, the most cars are stolen on New Year’s Day and Halloween. In 2009, New Year’s Eve was once again the leader in car thefts based on an analysis by the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Christmas Day continues to be the day with the fewest cars stolen.
Thieves are not respecting holidays the way most Americans are. They do seem to have some sort of respect for Christmas Day which is interesting, but other holidays, thieves are out and about looking for targets to steal. Of the 11

Frosting Crimes Increase As Insurance Firm Warns Motorists
Posted on December 24th, 2010
If the times are right, the free car insurance quotes that you have been blessed with come to your rescue. It has been seen that motorists have been falling prey to car thieves in the nick of winter weather. Sainsburys Finance has asked the insurance holders in UK to be wary of thieves this Christmas as the cold weather and the blizzards have paved the way for the increase in the frosting crimes. The head of the previously mentioned insurance company believes that most of the people with insurance premiums are not protected against this form of car theft. Although most of the insurance companies offer insurance cover for theft cases, frosting crimes are not included in most of the policies.

Cheap Car Insurance: The Magic Number
Posted on December 24th, 2010
Much has been made of the rises in car insurance premiums recently, with everything from the weather last February to people down the road making a claim being blamed by leading insurers. However, no matter how pathetic these excuses are, it seems that many people looking for cheap car insurance should take their fair share of the blame. A recent study has pointed out that the vast majority of drivers would rather pay between 7% and 8% for their car insurance renewal than taking the time to look around for a new and more affordable policy.
This is absolutely ridiculous. Sticking with the devil you know is one thing but paying through the nose for the privilege is completely another.

Taxi Insurance & Winter Tyres
Posted on December 20th, 2010
According to many people with their hands on the purse strings of the country, there is no need to invest in an infrastructure that is capable of dealing with snow because we do not get it often enough. Well, in my humble opinion, three major bouts of snow in the space of ten months, two of which have come in the space of a month prove otherwise. However, until they invest in snow ploughs and the like, it may be worth considering taking certain measures yourself if you drive for a living. For example, many experts have advocated the use of winter tyres, which are designed to optimise grip. Individuals with taxi insurance policies to consider may want to bear this in mind.
Taxi drivers have no choice but to go out in the awful weather if they want to earn a living.

Progressive Auto Insurance Named A Top Employer
Posted on December 16th, 2010
According to their website, Progressive Auto Insurance has been named one of G.I. Jobs Magazine’s Top 100 Military Friendly Employers. This is huge recognition for the auto insurance company that works hard to ensure their military employers are well taken care of.
Active-duty Reservists who are employed by Progressive receive 100% differential pay and their health insurance remains in effect while they are on duty. Chris Humlicek, Progressive’s military recruitment director, says they value the experience of military veterans and recruit at military job boards, job fairs, and in military publications. They find that veterans do very well at Progressive because they’re able to adapt to changes, understand objectives and lead teams. It’s gr
