Cheap Car Insurance & Checking It’s Validity
Posted on March 19th, 2011
It was revealed a few months ago that there were issues with cheap car insurance. Although drivers believed that they had taken out legitimate policies and had the paperwork to prove it, many were being pulled over by the police and given tickets for not having any form of insurance in place. In some instances, this led to them having their cars seized and having to pay to have them released, although some police forces recognised that there was a deeper issue – some insurers were not updating details quick enough.
Although this has supposedly improved in recent months and insurers have picked up the pace somewhat, there are still a few issues in this particular area. Cheap car insurance policies are updated quicker on the database that the police use but, when it comes to renewal time, you should check yourself to make sure that your car is noted as being fully insured. This can be done quickly and easily on the Internet and is worth five minutes for your peace of mind.
